Excerpt: Food availability in Poland converted into dietary energy used as an indicator of the country?s food security amounted to 3397 Calories per person/day in 2001 according to the data derived from the FAOSTAT and was thus well above the national average requirement level. There has been a slight increase in the per caput energy availability since 1996 shown in the attached relevant food security and related indicators (Table).
