Justicia picta L.

Graptophyllum pictum, is a shrub endemic to India. It is a well known garden shrub. There are two varieties, variegated colored is known as 'white adulsa', used with coconut water to reduce swelling, the other dark-leaved variety is known as 'black adulsa'. The first is combined with coconut milk to reduce swellings.
